DENNY & MARGIE STORM INTO FIRST AT CYPRESS SPRINGS

That is the REAL truth!! The Ark-Tex Region held our 5th tournament of the year again we had what might be the VERY WORST weather of the season. Our couples had to deal with light to heavy rain on Saturday, heavy rain at registration and it only got worse. Heavy rain, lighting, thunder, and closed roads greeted our couples Sunday morning postponing most of the couples leaving the ramp. Thanks to the staff at Tall Tree Marina & Restaurant we did get to have breakfast while we waited for the weather to pass. As always our couples braved the storm and most couples brought fish to the scales. Fish were caught on numerous baits, and at different depths from the flooded and stained water of Cypress Springs.

1st Place went to one of the new couples to C.A.S.T., Denny & Margie Bragg, with a nice stringer of fish weighing in at 18.35 lbs anchored by a nice 5.79 lb bass. Congratulations you two!!!

2nd Place was Steven & Caitlyn Stroman with five fish weighing in at 11.70. Keeping this couple in first place overall and in the running for anglers of year after five tournaments. Good job both of you!!!

3rd Place went to Joe & Susie Moss with another nice five fish stringer weighing in at 11.40 lbs. Joe & Susie were one of the few couples that could find a limit of fish on a very tough day of fishing. Way to go!

The tournament Big Bass, weighed in at 6.45 lbs, was brought to the scales by the team of Mike & Sharon Stroman. Mike told us it was Sharon’s catch and her all time biggest bass. Congratulations to you both and really big congratulations to Sharon.

Rick & I would like to take a minute and thank all of the couples who fished with us this past weekend. We know it was tough and not much fun for us ladies. As always we all made it through and everyone got home safe.

Annual Hot Dog cookout will follow Saturday registration bring your own hot dogs, buns, drinks, chips and a lawn chair. We will have the grill, and the fixings for the hot dogs.
