Lake’ O the Pines Tournament
Happy Mother’s Day to all our ladies in the Ark-Tex region and thanks to their families for letting them fish on a Holiday. I think we all had a good day. It was reported that several of the bags brought to the scales our Mom’s contributed more than 50% of the weight. Way to Go Girls.
Our Ark-Tex couples were blessed with good weather for our 4th tournament of the year. Our ladies said you could call it hot!! With blue skies and almost no breeze it did get a little warm just before weigh in. The clouds waited until weigh in was over before showing up. All of our Ark-Tex couples brought fish to the scales at this tournament. We had a total of 48 fish weighed for a total weight of 128.6 lbs. Way to go again couples.
Our First Place couple was Randall & Julie May with an impressive sack of fish weighing 21.02 lbs. They had the good fortune to find some really nice fish. Their fish were all close to the same size and with that weight they had to be almost 5 lbs. each. Good fishing Mays.
Second Place couple, and a really good team that is hard to beat Mike & Sharon Stroman with 16.66 lbs in five fish. This good sack of fish moves the Stroman’s into first place in the standings for the year. The race for the top six is still on.
Third Place and winners of one of our Kistler Custom Rod – www.kistlerrods.com were Ray and Ann Smith with a good sack of five fish weigh in at 15.88 lbs moving them up in the standing too. Way to go Smith’s.
Rickey & Toni Ledbetter took home the awards for Big Bass, weighing 5.98 lbs. Toni told me she caught the other 4 fish in their sack of five weighing in at 14.26 lbs. They were also our Ranger Bonus winners for this tournament. Toni had her first really good day fishing. Congratulations Toni. www.rangerboats.com

Winner of the Kistler Custom Rod drawing were Cecil & Paula Suttle. Cecil owns a Kistler Rod and told us that he fished with his Kistler Rod all day on Sunday and will be using this one too. Paula maybe he will let you have one of the Kistler Custom Rods. Thanks again Trey for your support of C.A.S.T.
