THEIR SECOND WIN THIS YEAR!!!

Bob Sandlin proved to be tough for our Ark-Tex couples. Cool fronts moving though the area with thunder storms and heavy rains on Thursday and Friday made fishing difficult. We were fortunate to have nice weather on tournament day cloudy skies early turned into sunshine and light winds before weigh in. It was reported to me that the fish were biting a variety of lures making it difficult to know what to throw. For the second time this year the Ark-Tex region is setting records. We had most of our couples bring fish to the scales for an impressive 226 lbs.

Once again Mike & Sharon Stroman proved to be the better fisherman on the water with a total weight of 14.88 lbs a nice stringer of fish for this tough day on the lake winning them a nice check and first place for the second time this year.

Second place went to another of the Stroman family members, Steven Stroman and Caitlyn Allen, (soon to be Caitlyn Stroman) with a nice bag of 5 fish weighing in at

13.18 lbs. They got close to beating Dad & Mom Stroman. These two couples are tied for second place after the third tournament of the year. Way to go!!

Third place went to our leaders after three tournaments Donnie Reynolds and Melissa Smith. She may just be learning to fish but it looks like to me Donnie is being a patient and good teacher. Keep up the good work.

Big Bass honors were taken home by David & Krystal Ford with a nice fish weighing in at 7.16 lbs. David reported he was just about to leave the spot they were fishing when bang he had a good one on. Needless to say they stayed in the area.

We were able to pay 6 places and a 7th place of C.A.S.T. cash compliments of ACI. Our remaining places were Fourth place Michael Moss & Tara Wood with 12.76 lbs. Fifth place Joel & LeaAnn Howell with 11.56 lbs. Sixth place Joe & Susie Moss with 11.50 lbs. Seventh place went to a new couple Dillon & Anglea Lee with 10.40 lbs. Great fishing Ark-Tex couples.

Rick & I hosted the second Annual cookout at our home on Bob Sandlin and we were pleased that so many of our couples attended. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and sausage we provided were enjoyed along with side dishes each couple brought. Thanks to all of you for being there and for your help and support.

Winners of the Castaway Rods were Joe & Susie Moss, Butch & Cindy Scheppler and Steven Stroman & Caitlyn Allen. Congratulations!! All of our couples got to take home at least one door prize including Academy gift cards, a Just Keepers weigh bag, Strike King lures, R & R gift certificate, a gift certificate from Save-Phace and lots more. The winners of our second Classic Entry raffle were Ronnie & Ruth Bickham. Congratulations to all of our winners!!!
