TAKE WIN ON LAKE TYLER

CAST Ark-Tex couples got a really great start to the day of fishing on Sunday, March 16, 2008 thanks to Lake Tyler Marina and David Stoner. Everyone was able to have a nice breakfast and a warm place to register. Ark-Tex couples once again set records for the region with 290.54 pounds of fish weighed in. Most of the larger stringers at this tournament were caught by our newest and youngest couples for 2008.

First Place was Doug & Betty Taylor one of our returning Ark-Tex couples from 2007. Doug & Betty came to the scales with a nice sack of five fish totaling 20.38 lbs., including a huge bass weighing in at 7.36 lbs. Reportedly they found bedding bass and were able to coax the big ones to bite using soft plastic baits. Way to go you two.

Second Place went to one of the Ark-Tex region's new young couples Donnie Reynolds & Melissa Smith. They brought in another nice stringer of five bass anchored by a nice 6.16 lb. bass. Their five fish weighed in at 19.12 lbs, putting this young couple in first place in the Ark-Tex regional standings after two tournaments. Great Fishing Donnie & Melissa!

Third Place was also another new couple to C.A.S.T. and the Ark-Tex Region, Michael Moss & Tara Wood. They proved to be really good fisherman as well with a five fish stringer weighing in at 18.64 lbs. We're guessing Michael received some good lessons from Mom & Dad, Joe & Susie Moss. Congratulations!

Fourth Place was also another of our new young couples, Steven Stroman & Caitlyn Allen, they came to the scales with a nice sack of five fish weighing 18.26 lbs, beating out his Mom and Dad at this tournament; creating a three way tie for 4th place in the top six standings with Mike & Sharon Stroman and Jim & Mary Edwards. Both of these couples also brought nice fish to the scales.

Fifth Place went to Joel & LeaAnn Howell. Thank goodness for one of our veteran couples! Joel and LeaAnn had a good day on Lake Tyler with five bass weighing a total of 16.62 lbs. Way to go ya’ll!

Sixth Place and winners of the ACI C.A.S.T. cash were Joe & Susie Moss they also had a five fish limit totaling 14.72 lbs. Michael & his partner, Caitlyn Allen, were not the only Moss team with a good sack of fish. Congratulations to Joe & Susie!

Marty & Jill Sugg took home Big Bass honors with a very impressive 9.40 lb bass. Marty may have caught it but Jill netted it for him, good teamwork and another record for the Ark-Tex region. Nice fish for Marty & Jill!
