C.A.S.T. Ark-Tex Region's first tournament of 2008 brought more couples than ever before to this region. We hope all of you will invite a friend to the next tournament so we can grow even more. Rick and I would like to welcome all of the new couples and we would like to thank all of the returning couples for fishing with us again this year. We look forward to a GREAT year of fishing!!

First Place was Mike & Sharon Stroman. They brought 3 nice fish to the scales including Big Bass of the tournament weighing 4.88 lbs. Sharon told me their 3rd bass did not come until just before time to be back at the ramp. These nice bass netted them two nice checks to take home. Good Fishing Stroman Team!

Second Place was taken by another of our Top Six Couples in 2007, Jimmy & Neeley Oglesby. Neeley was heard to say they were excited about taking home a check and a new plaque to hang on their wall. Way to Go you two!

Third Place went to one of our NEW couples Tommie & Candra Deese. They might be new to the Ark-Tex Region, but they are not new to C.A.S.T. or to fishing, they were the only couple to bring a limit of bass to the scales. They have been away from fishing and Texas but it looks like they are ready to Go Fishing. Congratulations!!!

Fourth Place was one of our veteran couples Jim & Mary Edwards, this was a particularly nice win for them as they both grew up fishing on Lake Caddo and both really love this lake. Having a fourth place check for our Ark-Tex region couples might be a first, setting a new record for our region.

Fifth Place was another of our NEW couples Donnie Reynolds & Melissa Smith. They took home the ACI C.A.S.T. cash for bringing in their nice bag of fish. Thanks ACI distributing for your help in paying a fifth place.

Our winners of the Castaway Rods, www.castawayrods.com, were Erbie & Carolyn Voyles and Marty & Jill Sugg. Thank you Castaway Rod company. I know our couples will enjoy these rods.

Academy gift cards, www.academy.com, were Jim & Mary Edwards and Rickey & Toni Ledbetter. I know these couples will have a good time with these.
