Randall & Julie May Win on Their Home Lake!!!
Wright Patman proved once again to be a good but tough lake. The heavy rains we have had in the past month were of no help with the fish. The lake was up and we all were watching for the floating trees, etc. All of our couples made it back to the ramp with no problems.
Saturday at our registration we had a small but fun cook out. Thanks to Jimmy & Neeley for the plates, cups, napkins, and tea. Thanks to Rickey & Toni for the hot dog buns even though they could not be there. Thanks to David & Krystal for the table cloths, cookies, and for cooking our hot dogs. It was nice to just sit for a minute and get to visit with each other, share some of our fishing knowledge and get to know each other better.
As all of you know this is our first year as directors and it has been a pleasure. We have enjoyed each of the tournaments and each and every one of our couples. Thanks Ya’ll.
First place was once again taken by Randall & Julie May. They did their home lake proud by bringing 5 fish to the scales weighing 19.14lbs. They knew where to find the fish even in the rising water. Congratulations you two!!
Second place was taken by our most consistent couple Mike & Sharon Stroman. Winning them another Kistler Rod www.kistlerrods.com . This also kept them in First place for the year. Way to Go Mike & Sharon!!!
Third place and another of the couples in our region that are really great fisherman was
Ray & Ann Smith. This win kept them in Third for the year.
David & Krystal Ford took home the honors for Big Bass with their 5.92lb bass. Krystal told me that David kept her hopping in the boat on Sunday morning from the time they stopped until the fish stopped biting. She was glad to have on her tennis shoes and not sandals. Good fishing you two!!
Once again all of our couples brought fish to the scales proving we have some really good fisherman in this region. We had a total of 31 fish weighing 91.10 pounds. I think that is pretty good for very hot and sunny day in July.

We had several door prizes at this tournament almost enough for everyone to get a prize.
Our Kistler Rod in the door prize drawing was won by Marty & Jill Sugg.
Academy gift cards www.academy.com were won by Ray & Ann Smith, Rickey & Toni Ledbetter, and David & Sarah Rhyne. They were also our Ranger Bonus winners www.rangerboats.com at this tournament. That new Ranger is really winning, kept them in the Top 6 and they have taken home Ranger Bonus money twice this year. Congratulations!!
