Joe & Pam Pope WIN again in 2008!!!

Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Lake Stillhouse provided sun, wind, and full livewells for

the fourth of six qualifying tournaments for the Capitol Region of C.A.S.T.

Joe and Pam Pope for the second time this year brought the first place bag to

the scales and it tipped at 17.64 pounds. Joe & Pam claimed first place earlier in the season with a CAST Capitol Region victory on Lake LBJ in late March. Joe & Pam have been having a good year so far in 2008. Claiming the two wins in the CAST Capitol Region plus finishing in the top of the standings in several other tournament circuits in Texas.

Cliff and Brenda Davis proved they can bring home the money, as well as the hardware, claiming big fish honors for the second time this year and second place overall. Brenda's big fish weighed 4.25 pounds, and their sack of five quality Lake Stillhouse bass came in at 15.31 pounds.

Third place honors went to a couple who showed extreme determination. Even though Luther and Alice Lentz both suffered from the stomach flu and had some boat trouble, they still managed to fish their way to a five fish limit weighing 11.63 pounds. Congratulations to Luther and Alice for a successful ending to what was otherwise a tough day!

There were several five fish limits brought to the weigh-in by our Capitol Region couples. Kenneth Staats and Shirleen Hart had an impressive four fish bag weighing 11.41 pounds. Each of their bass were quality fish averaging almost three pounds apiece. Congratulations to all our couples on some great catches!

We were honored to have one of our biggest supporters at our weigh-in. Keith Kincannon of The Parts Depot in Temple, not only did he help with our weigh-in but he also brought an added bonus with him. Keith, supplier of the great Delco Voyager Trolling batteries we give away each month, brought an additional Voyager 1000 amp Cranking battery. We can't begin to express how thankful and blessed we are to have Keith, Doyle, and everyone at The Parts Depot as our sponsor. Our hats are off to you all, for your support, from Vickie and I and all the couples that make up the C.A.S.T. Capitol Region.

Our next tournament will be at Choke Canyon on Saturday, May 31st. There will be a ramp change, since Bass Champs will be there the same day, we will move to the South Ramp. Hope to see you there. If you have questions or need more information please give us a call.
