Capitol Region winds up 2009 on Stillhouse
A whirlwind season ended this weekend for the Capitol Region of C.A.S.T. as we fished the sixth and final of six qualifying tournaments on Lake Stillhouse.
Larry & Gail Pederzani made a big end of the year push with a great sack of Stillhouse bass that went 15.70 pounds on the Capitol Region scales. Larry & Gail’s nice stringer netted them the first place check and plaque. Congratulations Larry & Gail!
The ever present Joe & Pam Pope was a close second with a bag that went 14.91 pounds. Joe & Pam have been a force during the 2009 season. Taking home a check in over half the tournaments this year they will be great team mates on the Capitol Region’s TOP SIX Invitational team. Good Job Guys!
Talk about ever present, Cliff & Brenda Davis rounded out the top three with a nice sack of three bass, weighing 11.64 pounds. They were definitely on the right quality, but could not manage a limit. It was a tough day, but Cliff & Brenda always find fish.
All of our couples managed good sacks except for the directors of the Capitol Region, who managed the smallest limit of the year. Five bass that weighed a whopping 7.11 pounds, we're talking razor blades. Vickie & I had a great time, we really enjoyed all the fine folks in the Capitol Region. Thank you to all of you for a great year!
Once again, as at every tournament this year our sponsor's showed just how great they really are as they showered our couples with over $750.00 worth of prizes and merchandise. These outstanding people are; Chuck Guthrie at Tightlines of Killeen, WaveSpin, Castaway Graphite Rods, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Sportsmans Warehouse, Teresa and Mike Van Brocklin at The Highlander in Burnet, Texas.
We would like to take this opportunity to highlight an organization whose generosity has overwhelmed every couple who has fished The Capitol Region to date. Doyle Gatliff, Manager, and Keith Kincannon, General Manager of The Parts Depot of Temple have supported Vickie and I as well as the Capitol Region from day one two years ago. These fine gentlemen have supplied a set of the finest trolling motor batteries on the market today, (AC Delco Voyager) awarded to a Capitol Region couple at every tournament. Not only that they also provided two cranking batteries at Stillhouse this year and last year. Ladies and Gentlemen these men not only deserve your patronage, but your personal thanks for two great years of support.
