Big Bass - 6.34 lbs!!!
Washburns take 1st place again!
Kael & Shelly Washburn took First Place and Big Bass at CAST Central Region's fourth tournament of the seaon. Kael & Shelly were able to win the victory on Lake Belton with a winning weight of 17.47 lbs including their big bass weight of 6.34 lbs. They caught their fish shallow on Texas rigged worms around stumps and laydowns. Congratulations to the Washburns!!!
CAST Central Region Directors and father-daughter team of Chris and Kendall May placed in the money for the first time this year by taking Second Place. Thanks to an excellent fish caught by Kendall! An impressive 4.33 lbs. smallmouth bass! Chris & Kendall were able to weigh in a five fish limit totalling 14.63 lbs. The Mays caught their fish with crankbaits and Carolina jigs. Great Job Kendall, keep showing Dad how it's done!!
Wayne & Marilyn Lilljedahl were able to take Third Place with a total weight of 13.76 lbs just barely edging out the Fourth Place couple of James Free and Jana Widener. Wayne & Marilyn have consistently finished in the top of the standings in 2009 putting them clearly on track as candidates in the 2009 CAST TOP SIX Invitational Tournament in September. Good Job!
