CAST Central Region

Season Opener on Lake Belton

On a day with a calm cool start and a windy clear finish, Bryan and Annette Wendeborn were able to find a location and a productive pattern early in the opening tournament of the Central Region of CAST on Lake Belton. Bryan picked the area and Annette discovered the bait that would eventually lead to their winning weight of 13.95 pounds. Smoke and red flake creature baits were the bait of choice. Bryan and Annette were able to catch fish on Bluffs in 25 feet of water. Larger boulders seem to hold the majority of fish that would help them to win.

In second place, Terry Meske and Joanna Stephens had a great day on the water and a five fish limit of 11.64 pounds which was barely enough to top William and Anna Polster in third place with a string of 11.62 pounds.

Justin and Jenn Prisock captured Big Bass honors with a 2.7 pound fish.

All of the couples had a lot of fun and enjoyed the fellowship. It was a great start to great Central Region season whose next tournament will find couples on Stillhouse Hollow Lake on March 15th.
