“Pocket” a Victory on Lake Limestone
Justin & Jenn Prisock claimed CAST Central Region’s third tournament of the 2009 season on Saturday, April 4th at Lake Limestone. Justin & Jenn caught their five fish limit totalling 14.91 pounds in Lake Limestone’s many “pockets”. Using primarily a moving bait strategy utilizing Strike King crankbaits and spinnerbaits this young CAST Central couple put together the winning formula. Their largest fish came on a yellow spinnerbait to claim Big Bass honors for the tournament as well. The Prisocks caught all of their fish in the same area but at different times of the day showing that persistence really does pay off!
Second place went to the very consistent team of W.C. & Anna Polster. W.C. & Anna were “Anglers of the Year” in CAST’s Southeast Region in 2007 as well as “Anglers of the Year” last year for the Central Region. The Polsters got back into the money this year with a total weight of 12.03 pounds. Look out Central Region couples the Polsters are on the move!
Finishing in third place with a total weight of 11.79 pounds were Tommy & Sherry Goodwin. Tommy & Sherry have also been very consistent this season with a top ten finish at Belton and near the top at Stillhouse. The Central Region has some strong anglers positioning themselves for spots on the TOP SIX Invitational Team this September.
