Finishes with a Bang!

Curtis Neyland & Carla McEachern take Limestone on a crankbait bite in a big way. Curtis and Carla weighed in a five fish limit of 19.64 pounds. Curtis and Carla made the most of great day of fishing on Lake Limestone. Congratulations to Curtis Neyland & Carla McEachern!

The most interesting battle of the season played out with the top six couples in the Central Region. Very few points separated the top six couples. Each of the couples in the top ten of the Central Region's points standings were competeing for a berth in the 2008 CAST TOP SIX Invitational Tournament in September. The CAST TOP SIX Invitational will bring the best six teams from each of CAST's eight regions to a secret lake for a winner take-all competition.

Chris May and his mom, Brenda Brown, substituting for Chris's daughter Kendall, would finish second in the Limestone tournament with a limit of bass weighing 16.92 pounds. Not only did Chris and Brenda have a nice stringer of fish they also had Big Bass of the day with a 5.72 pound fish. Team May needed to do well to overtake the very competitive team of W.C. & Anna Polster. The Polsters were up to the challenge, finishing third with a five fish limit weighing 11.61 pounds. W.C. and Anna's catch was enough to keep them in the top spot in the region for the entire season capturing the Central Region's Anglers of the Year.

Congratulations to our top six couples for the 2008 season (in order): WC & Anna Polster, Cliff & Sally Kettler, Chris & Kendall May, Justin & Jenn Prisock, Terri Meske & Joanna Stephens, and Richard & Terri Cusick.
