Couples Association of Sport Tournaments
Cliff and Sally Kettler
WIN on Stillhouse Again!!!
For the Second time this year the Cliff & Sally Kettler were winners of CAST’s Central Region Tournament on Lake Stillhouse. Cliff & Sally brought in five fish weighing 16.17 lbs. Cliff said they caught their biggist fish of the day first thing that morning on a point in 2 to 4 ft. of water on a Blue Gill colored swim bait. That fish would weigh 5.85 lbs. and would be their biggest fish of the day. Cliff & Sally filled there limit easily using a shakey head worm and a carolina rig with various baits in the pumpkinseed color. Way to go Kettlers!
Ray Horrocks took 2nd place with a five fish limit weighing 15.78 lbs. making our final weigh-in very exciting. Ray collected his bass fishing a carolina rig and using a trick worm around trees on the island in 5 to 7 ft. of water. He also said that the bite was fairly consistent most of the day.
W.C. & Anna Polster came in third place with 15.40 lbs. catching most of their fish shallow on a watermelon candy brush hog. W.C. & Anna’s finish would help improve their chances of qualifying for the Top Six couples tournament in September. W.C. & Anna are always in the running when the season starts winding down!
Landon Dobransky after having boat trouble would make the most of a bad situation; fishing near the take off site to capture big bass with a monster 7.07 lb. fish. Good Job Landon!!
Kendall & I would like to say thank you to Tom Giebe from Jeff Hunter Toyota for helping at the weigh-in. Jeff Hunter Toyota, 254-662-6644, has signed on to become a new sponsor for the CAST Central Region. We would also like to thank his wife Lana Giebe and Don & Brenda Brown for helping at the weigh-in, making a great tournament for our couples
.
