WOW! One Fish Wins IT ALL at Windy Lewisville!!
Bobby and JoAnna Clark Win!
by Conley and Kelly StaleyMother Nature was not kind to the C.A.S.T. Metroplex Region on Lake Lewisville on 02/17/07. Our 2006 Anglers of the Year Bobby and JoAnna Clark won the tournament with one fish weighing in at 1.19 lbs. Now that may not sound like a lot but on a day like this, 25 to 30 mph winds gusting to 45 mph, with post cold front conditions, water temps in the 40’s, that one little fish won them a total of $845.00 taking home first place and Big Bass. Several comments were made about the fish should be mounted for what it earned them, but it was released back into the lake to fight another day.
We want to thank all the couples who braved the high winds and waves to come and fish with us. Thanks to the returning couples, you are the folks who make this region special. A big thanks to all of our new couples for joining us this year. We look forward to getting to know each and every one of you better.
As you all know this is our first time as Directors, for Kelly and myself. There was a lot happening at the take off and weigh-in and of course several things went unsaid and undone. ( Like handing out the plaques to the winners! Duh!) So, we would like to take the opportunity to do so now.
We will not be mailing out hard copies of the newsletter or point standings. WE WILL SEND THEM BY E-MAIL. If you do not have an e-mail account please contact us for other arrangements. This will help us put more money into door prizes. Please send us an e-mail so we can make sure your e-mail address information is correct.
We will have raffle tickets for sale for entry fee into the Championship at Sam Rayburn. We will sell 30 tickets at $5.00 each, when all 30 tickets are sold we will draw a winner and your entry fee will be covered for the championship. What a deal!

We need to let them (Steve and Debbie as well as Budweiser and Ben E. Keith) know how much we appreciate this wonderful donation.

This is a great face mask, it sure came in handy with the high winds and spray from the boat crashing into those big waves. If you would like to see this mask I have one that you can look at and try on if you like. It is a lot lighter than a motorcycle helmet and fits over your glasses. Warm in the winter and cooler in the summer.
