Brain and Kim Harris Win Bridgeport!!!
What a beautiful day to fish. We could not have asked for much better weather than what we had this weekend of fishing. The lake was full and the fish were biting for most of the couples.
Brain and Kim Harris were our winners with 5 fish weighing 15.59 lbs. What an Awesome bag of fish for a slot limit lake, for any lake as far as that goes! Brian and Kim had four fish that were over the slot. Brian stated that they had bought 4 Kistler Rods before the tournament and were planning to buy more. With all the checks this couple has cashed this year they can stock up on Kistlers. I also looked back through all the CAST Stories about Bridgeport and this is the heaviest bag of fish to be weighed in on Bridgeport since the stories have been kept. Great Job Brian and Kim!
Our second place team was Chris and Rebecca Wright. Chris and Rebecca had 5 fish totaling 10.57 lbs. They had our Big Bass of the tournament also weighing 6.54 lbs. This is also our BIG BASS OF THE YEAR! With one tournament to go, will it last? We will see? The bass would have weighed even more but it spit up a 2 ½ foot water snake before the weigh-in. Wonder if E2-Baits or Mr. Twister carry a 24 inch worm?
Our third place couple and Ranger Cup Bonus Money winners were Bobby and JoAnna Clark! They weighed in 5 fish totaling 6.12 lbs. Great job Bobby and JoAnna.

Next tournament:
Next tournament will be July 14th at Eagle Mountain Lake, at West Bay Marina. We will start registration at 5:00, you can launch anywhere you want but don’t start fishing till 6:00! Weigh-in will be at 2:00 I say again weigh-in at 2:00. With the heat of summer coming on I want to get the fish in and weighed a little early. Still gives you 8 hours of fishing. This is the last tournament of the year. The race for the TOP SIX is still a close one. Don’t forget the “TOP SIX SHOOTOUT”. So let’s go catch some fish!
