Shane and Rebecca Timm Dominate Granbury!!!!!

CAST Metroplex held their first tournament on Lake Granbury,

Saturday, February 20, 2010.  The weather didn’t cooperate very

well for us.  Cloudy, windy and cold, coupled with water

temperatures hovering close to 40 degrees, made fishing

extremely difficult to say the least.  We are all hoping for better

conditions at our next tournament in Cleburne.

Our 1st Place couple was Shane & Rebecca Timm.   They were

the only team who brought a limit to the weigh-in.  Their five fish

weighed 18.99 lbs.  Shane & Rebecca caught their fish on Blue

Fleck Worms.   They said they had to use finesse fishing

techniques to get these bass to bite.  Excellent Job!!!!

Our 2nd Place couple are new to CAST Metroplex!  There are Barry & Donna Merrill, who will be fishing with CAST West Region, but wanted to fish with us at Granbury.  Donna was able to bring in the Big Bass of the tournament as well.  With a Big Bass weighing 6.59 lbs. their two fish total of 9.26 lbs. made for a good start on the season.  Donna caught her big fish on a jig!!  Leave it to the girls!!!!

Taking 3rd Place were Quincy & Carolyn Brown.  This couple

can always catch fish at any tournament, no matter the conditions. 

Quincy & Carolyn had two good tournament fish weighing 5.96 lbs. 

Great Job!!

Our next tournament will be on Pat Cleburne, Saturday, March 20,

2010.  We will be at the boat ramp on the east side of the lake.  If

anyone needs directions, please do not hesitate to call John for

help.  We will call boat numbers at safe light.  Please make sure everyone is in the water and ready to go on time. We will be at the ramp to register starting at 5:00 am tournament morning.

We want to welcome all our new couples this year!!  We are excited to

have everyone come out to fish with CAST Metroplex.  We can not

wait to get to know all of you better this season!!!
