TAKE REGION LEAD ON GRANBURY

CAST Metroplex held their first tournament of 2009 on Saturday, March 21, and you could not have asked for a better day for fishing. It was a little windy, but the temperature was great. We want to thank all the Metroplex couples for coming to our first tournament.

Our first place winners were a new couple this year, Brandon Hollingshead & Jessica Seybert, with a winning weight of 20.82 pounds. They also were able to capture Big Bass honors for the tournament weighing in at 5.85 pounds. Congratulations to Brandon & Jessica!

Not too far behind in second place was also another new couple, Mark & Michele Eder. They had a nice bag of fish weighing 18.39 pounds. Mike & Michelle also weighed in a Big Bass that was a little shy of the first place fish. It weighed 5.44 pounds.

Coming in third place was Cary & Carrie Adams, one of CAST Metroplex veteran couples returning from last year. Their total weight was 17.07 pounds. As you can tell, there was not much weight difference between these great couples. Cary & Carrie’s Big Bass weighed in at 4.46 pounds.

Most of our couples caught their fish on plastics and spinnerbaits on the main part of the lake. We also want to thank all our couples for being safe on the water. The sportsmanship, camaraderie, and fellowship demonstrated by the couples of the CAST Metroplex Region exemplify what CAST is all about. Special thanks go to the Metroplex couples for supporting John & Page in 2009.

Thanks for making CAST a very enjoyable circuit to fish.

We will not be able to fish the next tournament at Benbrook due to the water level is too low. We all voted at the weigh in that we will be going to Lake Graham launching from Eddleman’s Ramp on Saturday, April 11.
