BIG BASS ON AMON CARTER!!!

Just like a come from behind win in the Kentucky Derby on Saturday afternoon and thunderstorms blowing across the state, we were unsure what Sunday might hold for CAST North Region couples fishing Amon Carter Lake, May 3, 2009. But, Mother Nature was once again kind to us and to no one's surprise; our North Region couples once again proved the race was on for the spots at the 2009 CAST TOP SIX Invitational Tournament.

Fishing a craw worm in the wind, Bobby & Tammy Hodges brought to the scales, in two weigh bags mind you, a sack of 23.30 pounds anchored by a big bass weighing a very impressive 10.90 pounds! This sack not only gave them first place honors, big bass of the day, but they were also winners of Skeeter Real Money. Great job!

Second place went to David & Tammy Waller with a nice stringer of fish weighing 19.95 pounds. David & Tammy are a consistent team; finishing in the top of the standings each month.

Following the Waller's in third place was our leading TOP SIX team of Pat & Maryann Marino, with a weight of 18 pounds even. This is one tough team to beat as they have been a top three finisher in each tournament we have fished this year.

It is still a very tight race to the finish as we have several couples vying for one of the Top Six positions.

Our next tournament will be on June 14th at Lake Bridgeport. Registration will be held on Saturday from 5 - 6 pm at Wise County Park Pavilion.

Sunday registration, launch and weigh-in will be held at Wise County Park. We will be available for registration starting at 4:45 am.
