The second tournament of the year for C.A.S.T. North was held on Cedar Creek Lake. With 20+mph sustained north winds and gusts over 35 mph; the couples still managed to bag up limits of fish with over half of our couples bringing in weights of 10 pounds or more.

Bringing in the heaviest stringer of the day with a weight of 19.15 pounds were Alan & Betsy Shelton. Alan and Betsy also claimed big bass honors with a weight of 7.65 pounds. Their victory with CAST also made Alan & Betsy eligible to receive bonus money from Skeeter Boats & Yamaha Outboards under the 2009 Skeeter Real Money Program. Great Job Guys!

The next three teams weren’t far behind with Jerry and Felecia Bourdon coming in second with an impressive weight of 18.80 pounds.

Pat & Maryann Marino, our winning couple from Lake Lewisville, fell into the third position with a weight of 18.40 pounds.

Roger & Monica Haverkamp rounded out the 18 pound sacks with a weight of 18.20 pounds. The main fish catching pattern overall was to flip docks with soft plastic baits or fish the north bank of the lake using crankbaits.

We want to give a huge thank you to the folks at Log Cabin for the use of their facility and for coordinating parking for our couples. Our tournament was a success and we appreciate everything they did for us.

Our next tournament will be held at Amon Carter Lake on Sunday, May 3rd. Registration is scheduled for Saturday afternoon from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at America’s Best Value Inn off U.S. Hwy 287. We will also be holding registration at the launch site at Selma Park, Sunday morning starting at 5:00 a.m.
