CAST North Region Couples

Battle It Out on Lake Lewisville

Sunday, March 8th, turned out to be a beautiful day for the CAST North Couples. After the windy days we’ve had most of the week, the wind laid down and our couples had a great day of fishing. Our hats do go off to all the CAST North Region couples for making our first tournament as directors extremely successful and a great experience. We only had to give one wakeup call due to daylight savings time, and Bobby and Joanna Clark; you know we will continue to razz you about that.

Pat and Mary Marino managed to find a healthy sack of fish, bringing in the winning weight of 21.95 pounds to win first place and take home a check for $735. Awesome job and we are glad to have you back with CAST North.

Still coming off their excitement from a third place finish at the classic last year on Lake Amistad, Tim and Rhonda McDaniel took home 2nd place with a weight of 17.35 pounds.

Less than a pound behind, Billy and Robin Horton took the 3rd place finish with 16.35 pounds. They did bring in a big bass weighing 6.35 pounds but Richard and Diane Tompkins slid pass them, winning the Big Bass prize with a weight of 6.40 pounds.

Our next tournament will be on Cedar Creek Reservoir from the Log Cabin boat ramp on Sunday, April 5th.

Saturday Registration:

Kamman’s Exxon Hwy 198 & FM 3054 from 5-6:30pm. Look for the canopy setup next to the hotel.

Sunday Registration:

Log Cabin Ramp off FM 3054. Registration times are from 5:00 - 6:15 am. Safe light should be right around 7:00 am.
