BOB AND YOLI NARRON BATTLE “TOUGH SAM”
FOR THE WIN ON LAKE SAM RAYBURN!!

Cassell-Boykin Park on beautiful Lake Sam Rayburn was host for
the February 6, 2010 C.A.S.T. Southeast, opening tournament of
the season.  Southeast Region couples were greeted with very cool
temperatures, 20 mph winds, partial overcast changing to blue bird
skies late.

Bob & Yoli Narron of Hemphill, Texas came to the scales with the
WINNING three fish stringer weighing in at 11.62 pounds.  Bob &
Yoli targeted the south end of the lake.  Using texas-rigged baby
brushhogs in watermelon candy colors, Bob & Yoli managed to coax
their fish to bite, fishing in 2 - 3ft. of water. Yoli commented that it
was just too cold to fish but they kept at it for the WIN!!
Congratulations to this team on their Victory!!

Second place was captured by new C.A.S.T. members, Hau Nguyen
& Dusty Rowland of Minden, Louisiana.  Hau & Dusty had a three
fish stringer tipping the scales at 9.61 pounds.  Hau & Dusty ran
their Skeeter Boat powered by a Yamaha outboard south of the 147
bridge to start the day.  They used spinnerbaits and chatterbaits in
off-color water catching only three fish.
Congratulations on a tough second place finish!

Third place also went to another new C.A.S.T. couple, Clay Legg &
Norma Cooper of Lufkin, Texas.  This was the only team to bring a
five fish limit to the scales weighing in at 8.48 pounds. Clay & Norma
fished mid-lake creek channel bends with grass lines in 2 to 4ft. of
water. They were pitching soft plastics.  A job well done to this team
on their third place finish.

E2baits Big Bass Award also went to the winners, Bob & Yoli
Narron.  Bob & Yoli brought in a very healthy female weighing 5.66
pounds. Congratulations on their BIG BASS catch!!!
