John & Jennifer Anderson WIN Conroe!!!
OK! You know you are on the fish when you just can’t stop smiling. John & Jennifer Anderson smiled all day March 19th, 2006. I believe they were smiling from the moment they launched their boat until they woke up the next morning. With a weight of 24.17 lbs. and the big bass for the tournament of 7.27 lbs., these two excellent anglers smoked the rest of the folks fishing CAST Southeast’s second tournament of the year! John & Jennifer ran over to Caney Creek first thing in the morning and started whacking fish right away putting three quick fish in the boat and then running to the elusive grass beds on a very low Lake Conroe. Now is when their smiles just got bigger along with the size of the fish they were catching; taking their big bass and another large fish from their best area.
Don and Sandy Jeane are two of the best fishermen in CAST Southeast! These two can compete on almost any level and win. Once again they took the second place check with a weight of 17.59 lbs. They credited their good catch to using the Kickin Bass fish attractant. Sandy also provided Kickin Bass attractant as door prizes for some of the other couples at the tournament, including John & Jennifer Anderson!
Third place went to CAST Southeasts Anglers of the Year for 2005, Larry and Carol McMinimy. These two also worked the grass beds at Conroe to catch a nice bag of bass weighing 14.46 lbs. David and Monica Price will collect the “Ranger Bonus Money” as the highest finishing couple fishing from a Ranger boat.

Important Lake Change Information
Our next tournament is going to be a change from the posted and printed schedule of events. Due to the unavailability of lodging accommodations at Lake Somerville on April 9th we will be going to Sam Rayburn instead. We will be at the Lufkin Academy for registration on Saturday, April 8th, from 5:00 p.m. until approx. 6:30 p.m. The Lake Somerville tournament will be held on April 30th. We will let everyone know where the registration location for the Lake Somerville tournament will be held at Sam Rayburn or early enough prior to going to Somerville.
We hope to see all of you in Lufkin on April 8th, and please invite another couple along who you think may enjoy fishing with us as much as you do. Until then…
