SOUTH CENTRAL 2019 FINAL STANDINGS
South Central held its final tournament of the 2019 season Saturday on Lake Livingston. Although we avoided the stormy weather as we have experienced so far this year, the heat index of 105 gave us something to deal with. With almost all teams turning in fish, all alive and healthy, only 2 teams managed to turn in a limit. First place weighing in 5 fish for 13.64 lbs went to BJ and Kelly Tarr who also won Big Bass with a 4.53 lber. Second place went to Wes Johnson and his daughter Jewell with 5 fish at 11.13 lbs. Third Place went to Cody and Jessica Williams turning in 4 fish weighing 10.34 lbs and fourth place went to Dewey and Tracy Bonner with 4 fish at 8.66 lbs. Good job and congrats to the winners!
To top off our year end, we had our after last tournament get-together and gave away prizes for those who fished all six tournaments. We wish to thank everyone that was able to fish our tournaments and also thank our sponsors for supporting us in our fishing habits. One in particular, if you are in the area of HEB Grand Parkway (99) and Rayford Rd, stop in and tell Isaac thanks for his generosity. Congratulations to the winners of the prizes and hope you all enjoy them. Winners of the paid Classic entry will receive a separate email with further information on your registration for the tournament. We also want to thank everyone who was able to contribute to the party.
Congratulations to our top 6 South Central winners:
1st - Mark and Morna Lane – Anglers of the Year
2nd – Paul and Kristi Squier
3rd – Robert and Jeri Boley
4th – Les Brown and Peggy Schaffner
5th – Cody and Jessica Williams
6th – Wes Johnson and Jewell Johnson
Also, congratulations to those who qualified to fish in the Classic Tournament to be held on Lake Sam Rayburn in October, we had 22 qualifying couples with at least 300 points. We hope to see you all there.
To say the least, this year was a tough fishing season compared to 2018. Just a tidbit of information, last year we had 352 fish weighed in for 907 lbs. This year, 225 fish turned in for 569 lbs. Those numbers tell a lot.
We want to thank our region for all the help we get during the year, this is part of what makes our region the best.
Until we meet again in October,
😎 Peace out,
Charlie and Donna Harness
